Introduction to the topics

Talk #1: Cloud economics, we all have to work.

The cost structure in the cloud is fundamentally different from what we are used to on premise. This means that we look at costs differently and the responsibilities are assigned differently. Moreover, it has consequences for experimentation and innovation within organizations. This talk discusses the cost structure of Amazon AWS, settlement models, best practice organization of AWS accounts and how to tackle an analysis of costs. We can conclude with a short fictional case.

Talk #2: Azure Sentinel: are cloud SIEM’s changing the world?

Microsoft recently released Azure Sentinel, a cloud based SIEM-a-a-service, integrating with other properties such as Office 365 and Azure AD. Is Microsoft becoming a serious player in this space? Should I just ignore Sentinel if I already have Splunk? Come join Maarten Goet for this demo-packed session and learn how cloud defense needs a new mindset.
